Become an RSPCA Volunteer

We are always looking for new volunteers in this area what ever you can offer we’d love to hear from you…. these are some of the opportunities we have within our branch:

Fosterers
We are desperate for people who might be able to look after animals in their own home for a short time while we undertake finding a new home for them.
All Fosterers' costs ( food, equipment etc ) are fully met by the Branch

Fundraiser
We rely on the Fundraising Activities of local Volunteers to pay for the animal care we provide. If you have experience, or are able to help with fundraising then we are always looking for people who can help with ideas and events.

Home Visitors
We are always looking for people to carry out the many home visits on potential adopters of our dogs, cats, rabbits and guinea pigs. The home visitor goes into the home of a potential adopter, by appointment, to assess the home environment and family to ensure that we find the right homes for our animals. They always have the full backup of their coordinator and will be fully trained before being left to their own devices!

Trustee
Becoming a trustee (member of our local branch committee) you have a real opportunity to influence how the branch fulfils it’s role in the local area at our monthly committee meetings

Event Helpers
Every year we hold fundraising events. We need help from volunteers at these events to run stalls, collect money, help set up and clear away. It is always good fun at our events and a great way to get out and about and meet new people, PLUS you get to help raise money to help our animals.
